The Objectives

Re creating a caring "connecting" Society: Putting something back!

Core Objective:

To encourage and promote new and existing networks, who want to be active and connected through new and existing networks and initiatives in their community. New initiatives are always welcome. Our supporters page provides some samples of areas for involvement.

Current Initiatives :

1. Working in collaboration with Age Action Ireland “care and repair programme” we intend to significantly increase the numbers of volunteers for this programme throughout our city and county by dublindoers.

Target outcome:
To increase the number of active volunteers in the "Care and repair" programme by 25% by December 2010.

2. Career guidance: Involve Dublin Doer’s (middlers & seniors) with trades, professions, skilled, semi skilled, public service employees, residents, retired citizens, network members, in practical career guidance for young adults through questions and answer workshops in their community, schools, clubs, groups to enhance the decision making process for young adults. This will be a once a year commitment to as little as one hour for those willing to engage.

Target Outcome:
To set up a pilot programme by September 2010.

3. Promote the issue of awareness re: “men’s health” through our networks and play our part in reducing the numbers of those premature deaths due to lack of awareness/screening that effect so many families in our society.

Target outcome:
To set up a pilot workshop that can be rolled out at local community level by expertise provided from within each community for that community by September 2010.
